Also, from Pricewatch and retail ads, I think we can assume that Intel is now producing 800 Mhz PIIIs is large volume, and 866 in good volume. AMD needs to release higher speed grades soon -- to keep the pressure on.

I think AMD will announce 1.1 Ghz on the morning of earnings, and Jerry will state that 1.2 will be available "later in Q3" during the CC.

Pravin, that is excellent news, IMHO. 40% cut at 1 GHz *must* imply higher grades coming by then, and where does this leave Intel? Trying to scrape out profits on ~100,000 1GHz p3's and 'limited' 1.1 GHz p3's.

Speculation:
Duron goes to 750 (maybe 800?) No Tbirds below 800? 850? 900?
