Dear Tony: Boy you and I are on the same wave lenght today. First off I too looked at those PIII's at Costco, problem I saw was the graphics boards everything else seemed swell for 1,999. Then I read the SSB report and thought exactly as you. If you dont believe me check out my post on SUNW to Charles Tutt and note the time. Why dont you go over and cheer up the old boy, he's heavily into Semi's.
For the AMD crowd who likes to hang out here more than their own thread, HEY, I see your stocks down BIG TIME. JDN

I agree on the SSB report. I think that they are seeing a seasonal slowdown as the start of an end to the cycle. Many analysts have come out today to say that the cycle is still healthy.

I don't remember where I got this chart, and I'n not sure how up to date it is, but FWIW:
