Just a note about a few short term options plays I've been doing...

A week and a half ago, bought 10 NTAP July 80 calls. Paid 5 3/4's, sold 3 days later for 7 1/8.

This past week, bought 10 VTSS Aug 75 calls for 6 1/8, sold some on Friday for 9 3/8's, will sell the remainder tomorrow on strength (hopefully, as it heads into earnings on Wed).

These are short term option plays on stocks that I'm pretty familiar with their patterns. Both options plays were bought on dips in the stock, with the plan that I would hold for 2 or 3 days maximum. I haven't traded calls in this way before, but thought I'd try for some quick hits to generate a little income.

Any thoughts on this strategy? Smart or stupid? :-)
