Mani, thanks for the thread. Re: <I am so surprised that a cut by only one analyst from strong buy to buy, can cause so much damage.> It is the silly season that occurs 4 times per year, as predictable as clockwork. In a week or so we will begin to see the GOOD earnings coming out. I hope, and expect, that AMD will be one of those MANY companies that exceed estimates. (At the same time, I am scaling into caution as a result of my opinion that the FED interest rate action has been excessive & my doubt that the Saudis can really knock oil down to $25/BBL soon.) I am not a big investor, but took the CA announcement/price shock to trade some AMD for CA.(Not much, 100 shares of AMD -> 200 of CA plus some cash.) Good luck in your investing. tgptner
