Re: I'm saying IF you're bearish

I'm VERY bearish, and have been for some time. That doesn't mean I don't play on the wrong side of the fence once in a while.

The semi stocks are strange stocks and I don't think the ANALysts have a clue with respect to them. For example, in Q1 DRAM prices were tanking the whole quarter and MU missed badly, but Niles and co. still had it closing at an all time high days later. The same can be said for many of the other stocks on the SOX.

SSB isn't the axe in the semi's, therefore I think it's too early to short. Niles is the guy and I gaurentee he'll be running his mouth all day tommorrow about how good some of these stocks look. I'll be watching the reaction closely. If SSB can tank the SOX 10% in one day, I take that as a sign we are close to hitting a top. From a business standpoint, the report was flawed with errors and didn't even make sense in some regards, but was still capable of tanking the SOX (IE, people are looking for any reason to bail).

If the semi's traded on logic, I would've been short MU and INTC the past 6 months and gotten killed.

Re: If it were that easy everyone would be rich

We'll see... I think the SOX will bounce and I'll make some easy money courtesy of Niles and co.
