i noticed you gave no source for your outlandish #'s... as for <<The point I'm trying to make is that analysts are already discounting the current rate of growth in anticipation of a slowdown.>>....well, that was an UPWARD revision (not usually what happens when you're discounting a slowdown, is it?) your #'s were horribly inaccurate and doesn't help those who are reading the post. i'm sure you can't help but be a little bitter, given today's action, but don't take this so personally. as for "lessons", maybe your local community college either teaches ethics classes or fantasy writing....
