Greg,

My biggest beef with the SSB report is that I doubt that it
would (I haven't seen the whole report) add fundamentally
to my understanding of SanDisk.

The headline you posted today, which in essence said...

"The sky is falling."

...and any headline that seeks to lump all semi manufacturers into a single junk heap of wrecked tech stocks sends me right for the "delete" button.

SanDisk's technicals are horrible. I will give you that. The fundamentals, upon which I base all my investments, have never been stronger.

Imprecision rules for the time being. SanDisk will continue to be pigeon-holed into whatever category is convenient and serves the purpose of the author or investment house.

Yes, it was very difficult to understand what the CEO from Tower was saying, though I could understand Eli quite clearly. I took notes as best as I could. Did you catch that statement from Eli that they don't need to issue more stock to pay for this investment? And they don't need to sell more UMC shares either. Why? Because they've got some $400 to $500 million in cash! Now where did they get that cash? That's easy. Unlike so many other young companies in the tech sector, this one has turned into a cash cow. Look at the financial report issued last April. They've got more cash now than they had at that time. And someone thinks demand is weak? Sheeeeeez!
