Peter:
Much as I would like to agree with you (in view of the weighting Biotechs have in my portfolio), I think today's strength in Biotechs amid general tech weakness does not augur an imminent explosion in biotechs.
I saw weakness in semis (because of an allegedly poor analyst call), and some bad earnings warnings. I feel that investors, instead of heading for the hills, tried to take refuge in Biotechs, and ran them up.
When the market returns to some normalcy soon, I expect to see investors selling biotechs, and get back to some techs.
I would be far happier to see the whole tech sector, including Biotechs move up in unison, with the Fed specter of higher interest rates out of the way.
