Would SanDisk benefit from investor support with a long-term commitment to the SanDisk vision.

Is that what the company wants? I think so. First, during the conference calls I have listened to, if an analyst following SNDK calls in and asks a question of Eli or Cindy, Eli frequently will say something like...

"By the way, Bennett, thanks for all the support you've given us along the way."

Today, during the Tower conference call it was said that having fab partners as private investors is more attractive than unattached private funding. Why? Because fab partners (like SanDisk's relationship with USIC) have a vested interest in the corporation. Investment partners of this sort share the vision of the corporation and express this belief by holding shares in the company. SanDisk's support of USIC and the voiced support of Tower is a good indicator of what Eli probably would like in return (although he obviously can't require it) of SanDisk investors.

The wild gyrations of this stock and the wholesale exiting of Seagate has to be disconcerting. I cannot wait until we have a stable investor base for this stock. I fully appreciate that it may be a ways away.

Perhaps the Tower investment will make some Israeli investors more aware of SanDisk. We could use a broader base of support.

The location is important to SanDisk because the microcontroller technology for MMC and SDMC is currently being developed at SanDisk's Israel Design Center. I personally see the engineering talent native to this region of Israel as capable of creating the Silicon Valley equivalent for flash memory. I hope this brings foreign investors from Israel to SanDisk's doorstep.
