That's old news. Micron has had data sheets for chips and RIMM's on their site for some time. They currently show DDR modules scheduled for Q3 and Q4, and RIMM module ship dates Q4 or TBD.

The company will move its product line to concentrate on 128-Mbit DDR and Rambus DRAMs.

Sounds like an editorial opinion. SDRAM will be the dominant memory for all of 2001. (Although they may mean a design that can be SDRAM or DDR at final mask).
I think there will be a businesslike transition to new memory. When and what will be determined in the marketplace.
