I agree that this may be a very "significant statement" by CA re:euro market.

Regarding security, not enough of their business is predicated on it, which was partly my point. Security is absolutely a potential high growth area, perhaps the Y2K of the future IMO. Folks are always calling for the CA/BMCs to back off on their reliance on big iron (IBM/Unix realm), but the fact is that the large companies in corporate America still rely heavily on it, and will continue to do so for the forseeable future. Distributed systems technology is not capable of handling the enormous processing needs of these key CA/BMC customers. However, significant growth opportunities exist in the systems management (security included) areas for CA and others. CA has ended up with the best overall "suite" of security products in the industry. It remains to be seen if they can capitalize on them.
