AWOL - not - just lurking JT - ditto Angel's thoughts...

"we are merely lacking your expertise"

Yikes -- cable installers were here today & kept me offline for several hours as our stupid cable box had not been "grounded" & located at other side of house from electric box (evidently a major "no-no") so they had to lay cable (for later burying who knows when) above ground way the heck out on the utility easement back to the other side of the house, install a new box, re-route so inside TV's would still work, new outlet - yada yada yada. Luckily they had a deal going where the installation & 1st mo service was free. -- Had DSL since Oct 99, but they tell me this is several times faster + it is about same monthly fee + the DSL service I had kicked me off after 2-hours or 10-min inactivity... cable is live 24hr/day unless there is an outage... guess you can't win them all... just have to plan limit orders with that in mind. They spent the last 3-mo laying new cable in this area but still have a few programming glitches which should be almost over now.

Imagine my horror when I got back online (after market closed, of course) to see how those few hours deteriorated. Although I planned for the downtime by placing buy orders low & sell orders high, it was a little unsettling to see...

QCOM..... took such a dive at the end while the COMPX seemed to recover slightly (from what I can tell from a 30min chart). Breaking 60 support (during market hours) has me rethinking my strategy. Had 3 limit orders in low to mid 60's, but it's looking like it could be headed quickly to 50, maybe lower. Still holding some @ 64 1/2 & 69 1/2 & market seems to be hammering it on bad & good news. Earnings 7/19 which I think will be good, but concerned about forward comments @ conference call, considering Korea, Brazil, European/Nokia/GSM war + it's summer! -- Thoughts?

JDSU not giving it up enough for re-entry since merger w/ETEK approved by DOJ. -- Thoughts?

If these questions are too much of a bother at this point, I understand. Don't understand options & a chicken to play the short game, so short-term longs are what I play (dumb as that may seem after today's close & index closes, sox sector downgrade, earning warnings, etc.).

Hope life at the J.T. home is returning to normal now that your wife is back from vacation.

tia,
2rip

Thanks for the note, Lee.

The market is now at the apex and is now poised to break hard very soon now and it will get resolved shortly within the next few days.

The commercials (smart money)have made the bet on the short side and they have history on their side. The speculators have bet long and we know their record.

Thanks for coming out of lurk mode.. I neeed a good nudge from time to time that it is worth the effort.

Best Regards, J.T.
