Vector - I am somewhat at a loss of how to respond. In the context of my belligerent and combative tone, you respond with calm elegance and respectful dignity. Your explanation is not simply reasonable; it is pragmatic as well as flexible. We may continue to diverge to some extent on the degree of implementation of this flexibility, but your candor significantly diminishes my concern of intentional bias in the portfolio (and this concern arose simply because your selections have been so timely so as to place the VD as the preeminent BT portfolio on SI). While I feel comfortable in the points I've stressed in recent posts, I appreciate the conservative balance you must maintain. There may be efficient and equitable means to introduce 'new ideas' - and debate long-established positions - on the thread...while avoiding the appearance of spam or favoritism. I would welcome your suggestions to 'make it so'. Your struggles balancing family, work, and SI are mirrored in myself and I'm sure many others. Perhaps in the future, on those rare days off, I'll spend more time picking blackberries with my daughter in the wilds of Mebane, North Carolina (like I did yesterday morning), and less time harassing well meaning folks on SI.
