One of my larger holdings in Nasdaq Tech stocks jumped from 32 to 38 today. I still feel the next ten years will be the tech stock investor's dream. Softbank, the collection of 400 companies, a few profitable, most in the red but intending to be profitable, is much harder to evaluate than a single company that's in the black. As Harmon points out, with the investment in Nippon Credit Bank, 9984 is not pure new economy anymore. But in time I think it will do well. We just have to diversify. Jay, I don't think gold will go anywhere. I don't see the money printing presses working hard anywhere in the developed world except in Japan. Gold doesn't relate closely to oil anymore. I suppose the sheiks wouldn't mind being paid in U.S. stocks. Incidentally, palladium and platinum are far more important industrially than gold.
