It has been said GSM-EDGE-WCDMA will have around a 70% share and about the same % of carriers will supposedly deploy. It seems capacity of IS95/ CDMA2000(room for growth) will allow an increase in market share in terms of total subscribers as GSM/TDMA networks become saturated. How much can AWE really grow its subscriber base in dense markets? Most IS95 carriers are still at a small fraction of capacity. WCDMA or Edge does not really adress capacity issues its a matter of additional bandwidth which is increasingly expensive
