I see a lot of posts waiting for breaks out of the triangles. I would not be surprised in the least to see a fake out break and reversal the other way. Almost everyone is looking at these same triangles and there could be a flurry of by stops for any break. Now I ask what happens to stops when there are many at the same levels. In my experience, they get taken out then go the other way.

Good thinking here. I find that not only can there be fakeouts that resolve in the opposite direction, but also when price resolves a distance, it can whipsaw or even reverse which it frequently does. Here for instance price can run back to the apex and eventually continue its reversal. Many triangles I trade on the SPOO I anticipate price reversal which I have traded successfully many times. I am talking about different forms of symmetric type of triangles which has been my focus even though I find the fakeouts and whipsawing can come with other types of triangles too. Still, one way of looking at triangles as a group is to watch out for whipsawing at their trendlines.

JMO :-)
