Rob, I like both companies very much, but neither stock has yet been marked down enough to reflect reality. The reality is that the mainframe business sucks and has actually sucked for several years. These are two of the smartest firms in that niche and both are diversifying quickly and well because they know what is happening. However, they haven't reached enough diversification to keep this long term decline of the main frame business from hurting their earnings for the next year or so.

My own preference would be to pick up BMCS under $15 and CA under $22 and if they don't get there, don't play.
