Today was a good example of why I do not short stocks- expected weakness today and got it this AM (with continued weakness in some mo-mo stocks like NEWP and KEI), but market did the unexpected (again) and turned around. It's hard to sit on shorts when market does this, and it's not worth the stress for me. With up days and then down and then up I know lots of people are getting whipsawed here. We have rallied on employment #s several times over the last few months, perhaps we are seeing buying in anticipation of that happening again. This is one tough market, with this trendless (for now at least) environment. Either you B&H or are a very skillfull trader.
