Viisage Awarded $21 Million Contract

LITTLETON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 6, 2000--Viisage
Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: VISG), a leader in identification systems
and solutions, today announced that it has been selected to design,
develop and implement a new digitized drivers' license system for the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
The initial five-year term of the project is valued at $21
million. Design and development of the system will begin immediately
and will be deployed at all PennDOT Driver License and Photo Centers
across the state within a year.
