well, it would shake everybody out. but then, we seem to always need another shake-out, and then another...i personally think that rising prices will help the market more than falling prices. as long as every rally fails, you can rest assured that investment demand won't materialize. people will simply remain totally disinterested...like with stocks, they buy the recoveries, not the dips. as long as every rally fails at 290, the commercials will continue to short every run to 290, for all eternity.
