No, I don't think that people expect that, nor does my example. In fact, it shows that such an expectation is unrealistic. But it IS a slowdown in earnings growth. To make it fairer, assume that AMD comes in at 1.30. This is .13 better than Q1. Forget percentages. Q2 was .74 better than Q1. It is STILL a slowdown for Q2.
I am not saying those numbers are not real good. Only that the rate of earnings growth for AMD has probably slowed, whether measured by % growth or absolute numbers.
