I don't see how the SEC can prosecute Tokyo Joe for pumping and dumping when the same is done on a much larger scale by major brokrage firms who pump and dump their IPOs. The double-standard makes me sick.

The same double-standard applies to the S&L bailout in the 80s. The S&L bailout, some of which was necessitated by rampant fraud and misuse of depositors funds, cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Did any of the S&L crooks go to jail? Hardly any. The hypocricy is when they send away armed bank robbers to prision for 10 to 20 for stealing $20,000, but don't prosecute the S&L crooks who stole billions. The bank robbers should have gone to work for the banks and swindled the money the old fashioned way, they'd have a lot more money and not be facing jail time.
