Hi Cowgirl I've never heard of birds nesting so close to humans. Doesn't happen here - except for swallows. They'll nest above the most active door in the house and dive bomb you as you leave and enter. It must be very interesting for you to watch these wrens at such a close range. Seems to me if we patterned ourselves a little more after the way birds take care of each other and their young, we'd be a bit better off. Take care and keep that air conditioning running. Rose
