it tells only part of the story, but an important, and quantifiable part. some gold industry executives have realized what a game is being played and consequently refuse to play along..but we'd need the whole industry to foreswear the practice. that would remove a lot of pressure from the market. i recently looked at Cambior's latest quarterly report...they still carry a 21 m. hedge book loss with them...and you know what, they have learned nothing...fully hedged again, at slightly higher prices.
