David, I think that's odd too. But that's exactely what't the letter said. And they have all the info correct: Type of Coprprate action: Stock Distribution Action required : None Record Date : July 11, 2000 Ex-Date: July 28, 2000 Payable Date: July 27, 2000 I guess 3Com has the ratio quite well-established and the record-date is just a formality to determine the fractional share part. I'm not sure if the call option holders can get the fractional cash or not upon excercising. Mang
