Phragmented Photons...

See how amazing Q! is. They will be able to use WWeb CDMA communications without any latency thanks to developments in quantum photonics. Hence, 'phragmented photons'. The photon appears in two places simultaneously, far apart. Thanks for finding that item.

While gross objects won't be able to be teleportationed, the code for the object can be, like a DNA code defines the structure of the human and like the code is transmitted for decoding a CDMA signal at the receiving handset, turning it into intelligible data.

When somebody wants to teleport to another galaxy, they'll just need to step into the photon phragmenter, and they'll be coded then instantly zoomed to anywhere in the universe where the receiver with the right code is waiting. With multiple receivers, that could be to multiple places simultaneously.

At the other end, there will be a reconstructor which will reassemble amino acids or whatever object is wanted.

Pretty simple eh!

It's already been demonstrated with that recent announcement of a photon being zoomed across a lab when it was over on the other side at the same time. No decoding yet though. The human genome sequencing will help with that. Say a person wants to move, they aren't really too worried about their exact bone structure, so if they have an old fracture, they could just get their DNA sent, don't worry about the fracture, just build new bone to the DNA design.

The important issue is getting the neuron connections right.

So, with DNA plus neuron data, very powerful data compression could be used for fast transmission with low bandwidth demand. A lot of the DNA is just mutational junk with no function, so that could be left out, enabling even greater compression of the data.

With optimum compression, they might get a two-bit person! Good and evil...

Q! has got a long way to go. It's amazing that people are obsessing about ASIC sales in Korea over the next few months as a result of subsidy reduction when Q! has their eyes on the horizon and blue skies.

PS: I enjoy sci-fi stuff like that. But in reality, it will most likely just be used to get from New York to Auckland. Or even just to save the taxi fare home after a night on the town [with a pocket transmogrifier].
