He was not within the proper usage of felon.

Sure I was and stamping your feet and saying it ain't so won't make it otherwise.

And I don't care how many states have admitted him.

He was not using the correct locutions within the confines of a court of law, but his usage was correct for ordinary conversation. He is not acting as an officer of the court, but as a private citizen expressing opinions.........
