I can recall recent Coffee Shop threads staying at the top for a long time. Ahem <cough><cough> The Piffer OT thread is regularly on the hot list and has been for many months......not that I would notice or anything.

There are many different ways of using SI, and as one who uses it principally for investment purposes rather than social chat, I find the Hot Subject list much more useful without the more chat-oriented threads. Maybe it would be possible to accommodate different SI member needs by having multiple hot subject lists or sub-lists, one for Coffee Shop threads, one for biotech investing, etc. ? -- RCM
