Kirby, there are several unknowns here. Assume that the thrust of the report is correct and that the Korean companies are losing subscribers. That doesn't mean they are losing revenues or profits. Total time used per subscriber tends to increase as subscribers learn about the convenience and versatility of the equipment. A reduction in subsidies for new subscribers, moreover, increases gross margins, as implied in the article. In the end, it is not possible to draw any conclusion, positive or negative, from the information in the article.
