The excitement about the bioscan technology is misleading.
I am long on this stock but the equipment used in the scanning is undergoing tremendous changes in price, etc.
I agree the picks and shovels analogy is faulty here. What
you want to look for, and if you find it please tell me - are the public companies involved in disposables used in the process of scanning.

Bruce,
The fact that a small fund 'took' a position in GSLI being small as it is merits some points. They have now increased their holdings of GSLI to 10,000 shares at an average cost of 39.85 (1 % of their portfolio). They have
74 stocks long in the portfolio with some good quality companies. And they have so far given returns of 87 % since
inception on Aug 31, 1999. Not bad considering the market
correction this spring. So if a lot of people follow this fund then it bodes well for GLSI.

A lot of people including yourself and Cheeky, analyst at
RBC Dominion Securities think that the stock is fully valued. Needham and Co. has set a target of $36 and this
target has now been exceeded. The CEO of GSLI Winston was
reported selling most of his holdings in June 2 at $22.56 per share. VP Kurt sold about 1/5 of his holdings for $20 on June 1.

IMHO the stock has been run up based on the prospect of the
Optics division which had sales of $3 million last year. The
Co. is projecting sales of $12 - $15 this year. Needham is projecting $25 - $30 million sales next year (very conservative) Needham is waiting for second Q results and review of company's new products before revising their target price. Maybe the market is also waiting. The Co. is in now quiet period.

Plus GSLI options trading starts next week (I think). I
read that this is a plus for a stock.

If only they would spin off the Optics division !!

Hoping for a strong Q2 !

Long GSLI.
