Finnish telecom
equipment maker Nokia cautiously welcomed reports
on Friday that Korean operators would opt for third-generation mobile
network systems using its and Ericsson`s W-CDMA standard.
Bloomberg news agency said in a report Korean SK telecom would use
the W-CDMA standard rejecting the rival 3G network system of U.S.
Qualcomm.
"This is very positive sounding, but there have not been any official
announcements yet." a Nokia spokeswoman told Reuters.
