re: perhaps NOK is driving the price of QCOM down with FUD so they can buy the expertise they need in QCOM.

At the moment, all good news about QCOM seems to be ignored, or distorted, and interpreted as bad news. Bad news gets magnified and repeated. This is not due to any complicated conspiracy. It's just herd behavior. The stock is out of favor, so everyone is strongly biased toward interpreting every bit of news in a way that reinforces the negative bias. When the stock was in favor, the same people were interpreting every piece of news in the most positive way. It's hard to go north when the herd is stampeding south. This process increases the stock's volatility, which creates opportunities to buy low and/or sell high.

I have cash in hand, and am watching carefully for signs of a bottom, finger poised over the "buy" button.
