J, often there is a premium, but admitedly smaller when a stock is over 10 points in the money. My point though is it pays more to sell the option and then buy the stock than to call the stock. The call sells for $9 and the share price is 47 3/4 to buy. Therefore, you'd loose to call the stock. Instead, I'd just sell the call. The next step of writing a call is another question. Sure, you get a bonus if the price rises, or stays the same, but why bother? You believe the share price will fall, or why sell a call?

Have you traded options very often? I have tried all sorts of variations and finally find just buying undervalued options is the best. All the times I sold options was less interesting because very often I just watched my share price get a serious chop, making me wish I simply sold the stock.

Anyway, glad to see you making money. Remember options can disappear quick. Don't wait too long to cash in on a winning position because it may not win for long.

Regards,

Mark
