The second to last person I would defend is Gore, but I want to remain objective about this. Whenever I rented a place in the past, if the sink or toilet backed up, it would have been because I caused the back-up by putting something in there that should not have gone in there, and then of course I would fix it myself or pay for a plumber to fix it. It was my action, my responsibility. Have tenant/landlord relationships changed? Am I missing something here?

Yes, I can imagine the uproar. But then, Gore is in trouble, and one can always come up with reasons not to pursue a story aggressively........
