I haven't been able to keep up with what's fixed and what's not, but I thought all the PM problems had been fixed.

If not, one of the more stubborn bugs has been the one that causes an error message when a PM greater than 80 characters contains quote marks or HTML tags in the first 80. [Edit: Until we're certain that everything is stabilized, if you get an error message while writing any kind of message, public or private, the first thing to try is to make sure there are only alpha-numeric characters in the first 80]

For future reference, if you get an error message posting anything, privately or publicly, you should be able to hit the "Back" button on your browser to return to the text, and copy all the text to your clipboard so you can at least capture the text for later use.

This applies to *anywhere*, not just here. I'm in the habit of doing this most of the time. If I've just typed more than I care to re-type in the event of a problem, I highlight it and do a Ctrl-C. Then I can use Ctrl-V to "re-type" it again if needed.
