Vodafone AirTouch assumed that the Dutch auction would go along the same lines as the UMTS auction in the UK earlier. But with only six parties bidding for five licenses, there is less uncertainty as to the outcome of the auction, the paper noted. "We have our own strategy and our own thoughts," a Libertel spokesperson told the paper. The second highest bid comes from British Telecom unit Telfort, which bids 12.2 mln nfl for a high frequency licence. be/cmr
