I haven't read anything new from Tom Peters recently but I think he anticipated the " new economy" in his "Chaos" book. >>Porter's five forces model and even his value chain model apply to more mature and slower growing industries.<< Could be. I'll have to check that idea out although I would think the value chain model would apply. The Frontier paper from CSFB seemed to have used it and they were strictly dealing with gorilla types, not slow growth /mature. BWDIK. Appreciate the post. Tom
