Heinz: One piece of good news today. Despite the weakness in the XAU and HUI, my gold fund -- FSAGX -- was virtually unchanged on the day. I suspect this may reflect strength in the Aussie gold shares. In my judgement no INVESTOR (as opposed to trader) in his right mind would dump gold shares here unless they had advance word of some very bearish news about to hit. Something like a proposal by Larry Summers that the US start selling its gold. Just trying to imagine the worst possible scenarios here. Clearly somebody knows something or THINKS they know something.
