Go2Net basically gave me the best kudos possible, telling me and everyone else at the company that they agree with you. They held a company meeting at a Seattle hotel Friday and I listened in via conference call along with a lot of us other remote folks. There were likely hundreds of people there. There were problems initially with the conference call, making it hard to hear what was going on, but I could've sworn I heard my name a time or two. It's one of those names that kinda stands out even if you don't hear it clearly. :) As the call problem cleared up (we were hearing the hotel's hold message louder than the meeting), I realized that someone *was* talking about me. And they were saying *nice* things, and taking about 5-10 minutes to do so right at the beginning of the meeting!!! Turned out it was Bryan Burdick doing a presentation telling everyone at the company who I am and what I do and giving me an award for my work "above and beyond" expectations. He talked about the past week and about the WSJ article and said that when he was thinking about who at Go2Net has the most difficult job, several names came to mind, but mine came out at the top of the list. He added that a framed copy of the WSJ article (Thanks, Erin, if you're reading this!) will be taking up residence in the reception area of the new Go2Net offices. So, if anyone thinks I'm out here all alone working my tail off for the community, and that nobody but some of our members appreciate it, it's really just not the case. Go2Net and Silicon Investor apparently appreciate my efforts, too, and I'll soon have something to put on my wall to reflect that. I want to add, too, that there have been very few events in my life that've ever brought a tear to my eye. That meeting was one of those events. I'm kinda misty-eyed right now just typing about it. Definitely a high point in my life. Anyway, I thought I'd share that with all of you and take this opportunity to thank BryanB and everyone else at Go2Net for this recognition. Oh, and thank you Jill for tricking me into making sure I didn't miss that conference call! Just don't tell Bryan that when you love this community as much as I do, and have been a part of it for so long, it's really not that much of a problem to work hard at this job. As I look around and see what (mostly) goes on here, I can't imagine wanting to be anywhere else. And I know that a lot of you know *precisely* what I'm talking about. It's not just a place to talk about stocks. It's a community populated by some of the best minds out there. With a really lucky cop. :) Bob
