The only wrong with your scenario is that the stock market is usually a 12 month future indicator.

So if 3G is 12-18 months away, Qcom should start moving up within the next few months.

Franz- but not "therefore" no immense agreements will be revealed.
The face-down cards are where the value resides.. and we know what they are. The response can be immediate and squash a well thought out timing strategy.
