I pretty much trade gold stocks and funds like ASA, in general, on their valuations with gold price one of the keys. Whether I use ASA or Anglo-american vs. North American producers depends upon relative value and, in the case of ASA, the discount. Typically, when gold is under pressure, ASA sells at a slight premium, so there is some room to make money even without a huge ramp up in gold price. I would add the second third low 14s, high 13s, fundamentals remaining fairly constant.
