Joe & Goutama, Re: Depreciation, Capital Outlay

1Q00 CC noted that depreciation and capital outlay were almost the same so no net cash impact from this. There was a net increase in cash which was larger than net income... didn't try to track down where the extra came but it wasn't net capital investment.

From JC's transcriptish:

* Net income was a record $189M, which resulted in EPS of $1.15 per diluted share.
* Cash balance was $919M, which was an increase of $323M over 99Q4
* Capital spending was $129M, about half of which was in Dresden
* Interesting to note that Depreciation expense of ($128M) was approximately equal to Capital investment for the second quarter in a row
