Thread WAG BREAKOUT:

Walgreen to post strong earns over next 2 yrs-BusinessWeek
NEW YORK, June 29 (Reuters) - Walgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG) is on track to post stronger than expected earnings over the next two years, which should boost the No. 1 drugstore chain's share price, according to an article in BusinessWeek's June 29 edition.

Walgreen's earnings may profit from increased market share in the drug business, the article quoted David Post, a growth investor and partner at investment firm Harris Bretall in San Francisco, as saying.

Post believes that Walgreen's stock will hit $40 per share this year, emphasizing the company's steady earnings growth, high return on capital, and clean reputation in its accounting practices, the article quoted Post as saying.

Dennis:

I was asked by a friend about CVS and WAG, which stock I like more. I said WAG. Why?

In CVS we invest in good drug stores. In WAG we invest in good drug stores plus prime commercial properties.

On target price: I don't know how to set a good target price.
