Greetings Santiago and Chris,

<< Chris, that's great. I know that the Lord will guide you into truth. >>

Indeed He will, and may all who are open and receive the truth in Gods Word, then share it with others. Freely we have received, Freely we give................because of the Holy One of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is very good to see you both growing in the deep things of God............God is so faithful to us.

I haven't heard from Emile in ages, have either of you?.
I very much miss his input. The old story......"You don't know what you have until you lose it."

He was blessed with great spiritual insight and was a pillar in the kingdom of God.

Take care my brothers,

Robert

The full preturists believe that the actual Second Coming occurred in 70-78 AD.

Do you know how someone who believes this would explain how an early Christian like Clement of Rome lived through the period and apparently didn't know anything about it? 1 Clement 23, written in about 95 AD, speaks of the return of Jesus as a future event. Here is 1 Clement - just page down till you find chapter 23.

1 Clement is the earliest Christian document outside the New Testament. Clement became the leader of the Christian Church in Rome in the last decade of the first century. He had been a Christian for decades though. He knew both Peter and Paul before their martyrdom in the 60's. Below is a site with some basic information on Clement (note: This is a Catholic site and it refers to Clement as a pope, which title is a RC opinion. Although he was the third or fourth leader of the church in Rome, I don't think the institution of the papacy had actually come into existence yet.) I am posting the link to this site because it directly answers the question, "Who was Clement?":

James, after reading through Pastor David's testimony I can't understand why the church elders refused to hear him out. Isn't that their responsibility? I would think that such issues should be carefully examined by both parties.

To refuse a member of the congregation to speak with their former pastor is outrageous!

I have read Foxes book of Martyrs and have not till this time found a better account of Christian persecution since the time of Christ.

The author states that the emperor Domitian banished John to the isle of Patmos where he received the book of Revelation by Jesus himself. Now tell me if I'm wrong but preterists place the events and visions to the first century A.D. church specificially during the fall of Jerusalem. John spoke in highly symbolic definition so that only those who were true believers would know what he was talking about while the general populace would stay in their ignorance. Before I go any further let me know if this is what preterists believe.
