Whenever I cut and paste an SI post, the reply number (located in its own little window) does not get copied. For example, see Message 13888376 in which a post from a spammer has been included. The portion of the post containing the reply number appears as:

Reply # of 6812

Is it possible that the author of the post you mentioned actually typed in the reply number? IOW is it possible this problem was caused by human error as opposed to an SI bug?
