Ok, I know I'm always a week behind the thread in ideas but here's one. If and when you have the oak cut down have a couple of 2' sections of trunk cut. Coat them well with polyurethane and you have a couple of neat tables for patio or deck.

The mare just boiled out of the barn. They foal came trotting out behind her carrying something that looked like a stomped to death raccoon. I'm going to watch some TV now, don't even want to know what's going on.
