For the European CBs, one reason to tank gold is to make the Euro look good in comparison. Maybe once some confidence is shown in the Euro, lease rates can go up. Of course, it's hardly been inspiring so far the way CBs, the BOE in particular, have been handling gold sales. Not exactly the bastions they once were of sound fiscal policy.

narrow range day on XAU today...bounce please...time to escape 55 and move back toward 62.50...like a machine the trading bands continue...
