I actually have a secret hope that Intel somehow wins the unresolved part of the lawsuit against Via that would prevent Via from selling Athlon chipsets, and later when P6 retires to the sunset, Via would follow it.

Without Via AMD has to use FAB capacity to manufacture chipsets instead of flash. Is that good news?

If Intel has patents that apply to VIA's Athlon chipsets then what is the chance they do not also apply to AMD's Athlon chipsets?

I would be very concerned if Via gave up on producing Athlon chipsets.
