Caveat emptor and devil take the hindmost in this environment. I would rather put my faith in SEC filings where the responsible parties have a decent chance of going to jail when they lie. That cuts down the belief and hope factor considerably in my investments. Dealing with the quirky moods of the market is another matter entirely. A modest amount of digging would verify my real name and stated profession in my profile. Funny how I have never been harassed even once in many years on the Net behaving that way. But I don't falsify information for mass consumption either, so I sleep pretty well at night. I won't be relocating to the US for another year since my wife will keep working here, and I can do my new job anywhere I have a Net connection. Most of the time my travels take me through Zurich for obvious reasons (apart from my deep-seated love for Swissair). I will let you know if I plan to head your way again.
