Comet Cursor has been the subject of security concerns. Seems they have been accused of tracking movements on the net and info gathering on the sly. I would remove it.

I seem to recall installing something a while back and Comet attached itself and caused some problems so I deleted it.Wish I could remember what the problems were but you might try and delete it as it does not seem to be doing anything for you anyway.I would sure take a hard look at your installed programs and perhaps shed the unused.
